MOBILE LASER SCANNING FEATURE SURVEY OF TULLAMARINE FREEWAY
Paroissien Grant & Associates was recently engaged by VicRoads to undertake a detailed existing surface and feature survey of the last 5.5 km of the Tullamarine Freeway just before the Melbourne Airport exit.The work was undertaken using Mobile Laser Scanning equipment (MLS) and conventional surveying techniques. The project involved extensive traffic management and night work to minimise disruption to traffic flows.
The 3D Survey of the Freeway and all the related overpasses and on-off ramps was required to enable design of the proposed Freeway upgrade and was supplied digitally to VicRoads in Microstation 3D format.
